Enviroguard GrowMat: Spray-On Erosion Control Medium

Unless a surface to be revegetated is smooth and regular, conventional erosion control matting can easily be installed in such a way that it remains suspended above low points, not only hiding the problem, but allowing water to erode soil, and cause vegetation to grow patchily.

Enviroguard forms a ground hugging Bonded Fibre Matrix (BFM) that conforms perfectly to soil surface contours thus providing 100% protection against erosion mechanisms such as rain, water flow and wind. It also holds seeds and nutrients in an optimum position for germination. Once dry (24 hours) Enviroguard has excellent water retention properties and low runoff characteristics.

Mixed with water and sprayed onto even the most inaccessible sites with high-pressure pumps through long hoses, huge areas can be rapidly treated in one application. Less labour and astonishingly quick application rates mean lower cost and more consistent quality compared to conventional matting.

Enviroguard can be sprayed over existing vegetation, for example, to secure soil from erosion after bushfires, and also over Australian native species that have been planted using cell-planting techniques. In a modified formulation, Enviroguard can be applied as a weed mat.

Enviroguard is very environment friendly - every ingredient is non-toxic and biodegradable.
